Ironclad is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the Contract Understanding Platform—the extraction and document understanding systems that power contract intelligence across the company. This role sits at the intersection of AI/ML, data infrastructure, and enterprise product, requiring deep technical judgment and cross-functional leadership.
You will own extraction quality end-to-end: from document import through structured data modeling to export and consumption by downstream teams (Search, Smart Import, AI Agents). Beyond flat property extraction, you'll architect relational data models that capture clause relationships, inter-contract dependencies, and negotiation history—enabling AI agents to reason across entire contract repositories with high recall.
Key responsibilities include: setting vision and roadmaps for contract understanding with accountability for extraction accuracy and coverage; defining APIs, schemas, and developer experience for a shared extraction service consumed by multiple internal teams; building front-end experiences for data review and validation; modeling contract relationships as connected graphs rather than flat properties; owning the AI quality flywheel with datasets, evals, production metrics, and feedback loops; connecting the platform to customer workflows; and making consequential technical decisions (model architectures, vendors, build-versus-buy) while aligning engineering, design, data, executives, and partners.
You'll partner across engineering, applied science, design, data, legal experts, security, and go-to-market teams. The role demands moving fluidly between customer workflows and hard technical calls, from API contracts to production-quality regressions. Success requires technical depth, sharp product judgment, and the ability to create clarity in ambiguity.
