Salary: USD 213,600 - 300,000 / annual
Harvey is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the 0-to-1 development of its Contracts product, a new AI-powered offering that will transform how legal professionals draft, negotiate, review, and manage contracts. This is a foundational role where you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a product that doesn't yet exist, working at the intersection of frontier agentic AI and complex legal workflows.
You will own the entire product development lifecycle from concept through alpha, beta, and general availability. Key responsibilities include defining the product vision and strategic direction, deeply understanding customer workflows by engaging directly with law firms and in-house legal teams, translating legal domain expertise into product requirements, and driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, research, legal, and go-to-market teams.
You'll work closely with legal engineers and subject matter experts to build AI-powered features that resonate with sophisticated legal professionals. You'll define success metrics and KPIs for adoption, utilization, and customer value creation, shape product packaging and positioning in partnership with product marketing, and identify and prioritize features based on customer feedback, competitive landscape, and technical feasibility.
The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, deep product sense, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving toward clear outcomes. You'll operate in a fast-moving startup environment where the product roadmap evolves quickly, embracing an agile approach and iterating rapidly.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of product management experience with significant 0-to-1 product development, demonstrated success launching new products from scratch and scaling them, strong technical fluency with AI/ML-powered products, experience with enterprise B2B customers (ideally legal tech, SaaS, or professional services), exceptional analytical and communication skills, and comfort thriving in high-growth startup environments.
Preferred qualifications include legal tech or contract lifecycle management (CLM) experience, understanding of legal workflows and contract negotiation processes, a JD or prior experience working with lawyers, experience with generative AI or large language models, and platform or ecosystem-level product thinking.
