Vanta is seeking a Staff Product Manager for AI Foundations to own the strategy and roadmap for core AI capabilities powering Vanta's customer-facing AI experiences. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and AI infrastructure, responsible for building the agent harness and quality/evaluation stack that underpins all of Vanta's AI products. Key responsibilities include: owning the strategy for core AI capabilities including the agent harness and AI quality/evaluation stack; analyzing agent traces to understand customer usage patterns and drive high-leverage improvements; building golden datasets and automated evaluators to ensure AI product quality; scaling the agent harness with clear tradeoffs across cost, latency, reliability, and safety; setting quality bars for evals and launch readiness across teams; partnering with product and engineering teams to turn proven patterns into shared capabilities; and helping shape Vanta's product culture as the team grows. Success requires 8+ years of product management experience with platform, infrastructure, or technically deep products. Candidates should have hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents, deep understanding of evals and observability, and strong user empathy. The ideal candidate can run foundational products with adoption goals and feedback loops, earn credibility with senior engineers in technical discussions, use coding agents daily, think systemically about how evaluation and infrastructure choices compound across teams, and communicate with clarity to stakeholders at all levels.
