Brex is an intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally with corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software. The company recently became part of Capital One, with AI positioned as a major strategic investment.
You will own end-to-end product strategy and execution for AI agents targeting finance administrators—controllers, accounting managers, and finance ops leads. The role focuses on two critical pain points: (1) expense compliance and policy enforcement at scale, and (2) spend analytics and business intelligence.
Today, finance admins manually review transactions, resulting in ~4% of T&E spend remaining out of policy (e.g., $400K in violations for a $10M annual spend company). The AI team is building two agent products: an auditor agent that reviews every transaction against company policies, investigates anomalies, gathers context, and surfaces patterns; and a business analyst agent that answers ad-hoc spend questions in plain language, learns reporting preferences, and proactively alerts on anomalies.
As Staff PM, you will take point on one agent with full ownership—strategy, roadmap, customer discovery, cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Design, Legal, and Compliance. You'll shape which agent you lead and how much of the other you influence based on your strengths and team needs. Both products are early-stage, in customer hands, and lack established playbooks. You'll define what makes an AI agent's judgment trustworthy enough for autonomous action, how to handle edge cases, and how to scale adoption.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of AI product innovation and financial services, with real customer traction and significant company backing.
