Jane App is seeking a Staff Product Data Analyst to rebuild and establish the data and analytics foundation across the company. This is a technical, infrastructure-focused role—not traditional dashboard building or insight generation.
You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Growth teams to design and maintain the product analytics data foundation that powers self-service analytics, experimentation, and AI. Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain scalable dbt models that transform raw product events into trusted analytical datasets
- Partner with Engineering to define, implement, and validate product instrumentation before feature releases
- Design semantic models, standardized business logic, and governed metric definitions ensuring consistent product metrics across dashboards, self-service tools, and AI systems
- Develop certified datasets powering modern analytics platforms (Looker, Omni, Hex, Sigma)
- Monitor product data pipelines, identify instrumentation gaps and data quality issues, and implement long-term improvements
- Establish standards for how product data is modeled, tested, documented, and maintained
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analytics engineering workflows
You'll need 6+ years in Product Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or similar technical data roles at SaaS/high-growth companies. Expert SQL skills, deep experience designing scalable analytical data models, and 6+ years deploying dbt in production are essential. Experience with behavioral product data modeling, event-driven datasets, CDPs (Segment, RudderStack), semantic models, data quality testing, and modern cloud platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) is required. Familiarity with AI tools like Cursor or Claude Code is a plus.
Jane is a founder-led, high-growth SaaS company headquartered in North Vancouver, BC, with 850+ employees working remotely across Canada, the US, and the UK.
