PQShield, a deep tech startup founded in 2018, is seeking an experienced Staff Product Certification Manager to lead security and safety certification efforts for their post-quantum cryptography and RISC-V semiconductor products. This is a remote-first role based in Europe with occasional travel to offices.
You will serve as the certification expert responsible for navigating complex security standards including SESIP, FIPS 140-3, PSA, ISA/SAE 21434, ISO 26262, and ISO/IEC 62443. Your responsibilities span the entire certification lifecycle: developing and optimizing PQShield's certification strategy, identifying R&D opportunities (such as formal verification), managing communication with test labs and internal/external stakeholders, and advising architects and validation engineers on certification requirements.
Key responsibilities include prototyping soft IP into certifiable products (e.g., on FPGA), demonstrating certifiability to customers, participating in standardization bodies, and monitoring industry trends and competitors. You'll work directly with founders and inventors in a rapidly expanding segment of the semiconductor industry.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; at least 7 years of experience; proven track record certifying complex security IP products; strong understanding of hardware security standards, certifications, and the semiconductor certification ecosystem; experience with JIRA and HubSpot.
Preferred skills include knowledge of SoC security architectures, tamper resistance, power side-channel countermeasures, secure element/smart card design, GitLab CI/continuous integration principles, and FPGA EDA design flows.
