Okta's People Technology Team is seeking a Staff Product Analyst to lead the functional optimization of the company's global Workday platform, specifically across Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules. This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on the end-to-end lifecycle of these critical HR systems—from discovery and design through global deployment and ongoing adoption.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across People, Payroll, IT, and Finance, translating complex business requirements into clear functional designs and configurations. Key responsibilities include developing product strategy and multi-year roadmaps aligned with global objectives; designing and configuring payroll processes, absence rules, and time tracking workflows; managing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and maintenance; and leveraging Workday analytics to identify optimization opportunities.
You will also oversee vendor relationships (e.g., ADP), champion continuous improvement initiatives, drive feature adoption through training and documentation, and ensure all configurations meet global compliance and security standards. The role requires deep Workday expertise (7+ years configuring Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking), strong domain knowledge of payroll and HR business processes, proven testing and quality leadership, advanced analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders across global time zones. Experience with Agile methodologies and complex problem-solving in fast-paced environments is essential.
