Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to architect factory-scale manufacturing for Fury, an autonomous collaborative combat aircraft. You will be the technical authority setting manufacturing standards for aircraft-class structures, composites, and complex electromechanical integration at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
• Architect the industrialization of Fury hardware at scale, including factory layout, capacity models, and rate strategy for aircraft-class structures and moving ground equipment.
• Set Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Excellence (DFX), and process standards that the entire production line follows. Design novel tooling and automation strategies for structural fabrication and assembly.
• Own the manufacturing-systems backbone, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), quality systems, and documentation at scale. Qualify contract-manufacturer processes.
• Lead root-cause analysis on the most systemic manufacturing issues and prevent recurrence across products.
• Drive the hardest structural and integration problems to ground, rapidly iterating from prototype through rate production.
This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, where Anduril's Fury team builds cutting-edge defense hardware. You will work on aircraft structures, composites, and complex integration challenges as the company scales production. The position offers the opportunity to shape manufacturing strategy for a next-generation autonomous vehicle platform at a defense technology company backed by significant resources and mission focus.
