Abridge is seeking a Staff IT Engineer to lead enterprise IT infrastructure and automation across the organization. This is a technical leadership role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical automation solutions that eliminate manual processes, enhance security, and improve employee experience globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Workflow Automation: Develop scalable, resilient automation solutions for onboarding/offboarding, access requests, compliance enforcement, and self-service IT support.
- API and Integration Development: Serve as subject matter expert for integrating disparate systems using APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Drive automation within IAM infrastructure, focusing on automated role assignment, least-privilege policy enforcement, and audit-friendly logging.
- Enterprise Data Engineering: Architect robust data platforms for IT, ensuring efficient collection, normalization, and secure storage of high-volume enterprise data for reporting and analytics.
- Technical Leadership: Establish engineering best practices, lead code reviews, document architectures, and mentor engineers in automation principles.
- Business Systems & Custom Application Deployment: Own end-to-end deployment and lifecycle management of business-critical systems and custom applications.
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years in IT Engineering, IT Apps Development, or DevOps, with at least 5 years dedicated to large-scale enterprise automation
- Deep hands-on experience automating complex operations across GCP, AWS, and/or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform)
- High proficiency in modern programming languages, preferably Python
- Proven experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and relational databases (SQL preferred)
- Extensive experience with centralized automation platforms (n8n, SOAR, Ansible, Workato, or custom frameworks)
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, finance) with SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent compliance exposure
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus: Experience with agentic AI or ML models applied to IT automation.
