Shield AI is seeking a Staff Field Solutions Engineer to serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind, the company's autonomy software platform for unmanned systems. You will support technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities across defense and security customers worldwide.
Hivemind enables autonomous operation of aircraft and robotic systems across complex mission environments, allowing platforms to perceive, decide, coordinate, and execute with reduced operator burden. In this role, you will translate customer mission needs, operational constraints, and platform integration considerations into credible, technically feasible solution concepts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting customer discovery and technical briefings
- Conducting product demonstrations for defense and security customers
- Responding to RFIs, RFPs, and technical interchange meetings
- Developing customer-specific solution architectures
- Creating white papers and technical documentation
- Establishing technical credibility with customers across varied operational environments
- Connecting Hivemind's autonomy capabilities to real-world mission problems
You will work with customers globally to understand how autonomous systems can improve mission outcomes and integrate into existing and future force structures. Success requires deep technical knowledge of autonomy systems, strong communication skills, product expertise, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-relevant solutions. This is a high-impact role that directly influences customer adoption and mission success.
