Shield AI is seeking a Staff Field Solutions Engineer to serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind, the company's autonomy software platform for unmanned systems. You will support technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities across defense and security accounts.
Hivemind enables autonomous operation of aircraft and robotic systems across complex mission environments, allowing platforms to perceive, decide, coordinate, and execute with reduced operator burden. In this role, you will translate customer mission needs, operational constraints, and platform integration considerations into credible, technically feasible solution concepts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting customer discovery and technical briefings
- Conducting product demonstrations and technical interchange meetings
- Contributing to RFI/RFP responses and white papers
- Developing customer-specific solution architectures
- Establishing technical credibility with defense and security customers
- Connecting Hivemind's autonomy capabilities to real operational missions across varied environments
You will work across Shield AI's global footprint (US, Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific) to support customers integrating autonomy into existing and future force structures. Success requires deep technical understanding of autonomous systems, strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-relevant mission outcomes. This is a high-visibility role interfacing directly with senior customer stakeholders and internal product/engineering teams.
