You will join the AutoProgression Team as a Staff Engineer, leading technical initiatives that span multiple engineering squads. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant technical leadership scope—you'll drive architectural decisions, resolve cross-team performance challenges, and guide technology choices that shape the platform's evolution. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership to define technical direction during the company's next growth phase.
The AutoProgression Team focuses on creating a seamless provider experience within the Stellar application. This includes ingesting and transforming clinical data from diverse EHR sources (serving 200K+ patients), evolving the frontend UI for better usability and insights, and building the data infrastructure that providers rely on as a source of truth. The team operates with high ownership and a mature engineering culture where individual contributions directly impact business success and patient care access.
Key responsibilities include building best-in-class applications and services, owning technical direction alongside leadership, aligning on product roadmaps and priorities, ensuring timely and accurate data presentation, evolving architecture for operational efficiency and scale, contributing to engineering culture through code and design reviews, expanding the EHR data pipeline, and creating features powered by clinical data.
You bring 10+ years of experience with recent hands-on production coding (Python preferred; Java, C++, Go acceptable), expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), relational databases (PostgreSQL), and web frameworks (Django or equivalent). You have 2+ years building data processing pipelines, experience leading cross-functional architectural projects, and a track record building highly available, low-latency services. You advocate for clean code, engineering best practices, and can quickly diagnose root causes while working calmly under pressure. You excel at collaborating across teams on initiatives that elevate systems and designs beyond your own scope.
