You will join as a Staff Data Scientist on the Supply Chain Planning Science team in Bangalore, leading the development and productionization of advanced Operations Research (OR) solutions. This is a founding science leadership role for the India-based OR team, owning end-to-end workstreams from problem formulation through production deployment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing optimization solutions for warehouse routing, transportation, network planning, inventory management, and purchase order allocation
- Translating complex operational problems into scalable, production-grade optimization systems
- Partnering with Supply Chain Planning, Engineering, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Science teams across Bangalore and Palo Alto
- Establishing scientific standards and best practices for the OR organization
- Mentoring team members and raising technical standards through collaboration
- Implementing AI-native approaches to Operations Research
- Driving measurable business impact through supply chain efficiency improvements
- Managing experimentation and validation of OR models in production
This role requires deep expertise in operations research, optimization algorithms, and supply chain science, combined with the ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor others, and translate research into business value.
