Ironclad is the leading AI contracting platform transforming how organizations manage agreements. As Staff Product Analytics Data Scientist, you'll be the analytical backbone driving product understanding, measurement, and improvement across the platform.
You'll own product analytics end-to-end: defining and instrumenting key metrics (adoption, activation, feature usage, engagement, retention), designing and analyzing A/B tests and quasi-experiments, and mining large datasets for non-obvious patterns that shape strategy. This is a builder's role—your team owns the entire data pipeline, from dbt models and transformations through to shipped data products that deliver insights directly to customers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include: establishing trustworthy, self-serve product metrics; driving experimentation and causal analysis to quantify impact; exploring complex product and contract data to surface opportunities; building embedded analytics and AI-powered insights; owning and extending dbt pipelines and data models; architecting AI-ready data assets with clear documentation; mentoring analysts and data scientists; and influencing senior stakeholders on high-stakes product decisions.
You'll wear multiple hats—product analytics most days, analytics engineering when pipelines need attention, and data science when problems require experimentation or causal inference. You'll set analytical direction, raise the technical bar across the team, and drive impact without formal authority.
The role is hybrid with required office attendance Tuesdays and Thursdays in San Francisco for collaboration, plus occasional additional in-office days for team and company events.
