Okta is seeking a Staff Data Analyst for People Analytics to join their People Analytics team in Bengaluru. This role sits at the intersection of HR strategy and advanced analytics, responsible for developing data-driven insights across the entire employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding through development, performance management, and exit. You will partner closely with stakeholders across HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and Legal to deliver analytics that support strategic workforce planning, improve employee experiences, and enable informed business decisions. Key responsibilities include: People Analytics & Insights: Design and maintain dashboards and reports covering hiring, attrition, engagement, performance, promotions, compensation, headcount, and organizational health. Develop scalable, self-service reporting solutions and collaborate with HR Technology teams to ensure data quality and governance across people data platforms. Translate business questions into analytical approaches and communicate findings through compelling visualizations and executive presentations. Advanced People Analytics: Design, develop, and maintain predictive models to identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities. Apply advanced statistical techniques including regression analysis, clustering, forecasting, survival analysis, and segmentation. Build and validate models for attrition prediction, workforce forecasting, employee lifecycle analysis, and talent pipeline analytics. Recommend data-driven solutions that improve workforce planning and organizational decision-making. AI & Natural Language Processing: Apply NLP techniques to analyze employee feedback from surveys, onboarding, and exit interviews. Use topic modeling, sentiment analysis, and text analytics to identify emerging themes. Explore and prototype Generative AI use cases that automate narrative reporting, summarize workforce trends, and enhance insight delivery while maintaining governance and data privacy standards. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, plus 5–8 years of experience in People Analytics, HR Analytics, Workforce Analytics, or Data Science. You must have advanced proficiency in Tableau, Snowflake, Excel, SQL, and enterprise HR platforms (Workday, ServiceNow, Greenhouse). Strong programming skills in Python and/or R are essential, along with expertise in advanced statistical methods, large complex datasets, data governance, and excellent data visualization and storytelling abilities.
