Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to help scale their Grafana App Platform as their Cloud/SaaS business grows. The role focuses on transforming Grafana's core architecture into a fully multi-tenant, scalable platform that serves as a foundation for integrated observability apps.
You'll work on a significant architectural evolution: converting Grafana into a proper observability app platform where both open-source and proprietary applications can directly integrate with dashboards, alerts, incidents, and telemetry data. This requires deep expertise in building and scaling SaaS platforms.
The position is fully remote and open to candidates in the UK, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Ireland. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and others. The company serves 7,000+ customers including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
Compensation in Sweden ranges from SEK 878,578 to SEK 1,054,294, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) providing ownership in the company's success.
