As Staff Analytics Engineer, you'll own the centralized data infrastructure that serves as the source of truth for the company's most critical operational questions. You'll design and maintain scalable data architectures using dbt and Snowflake, modeling data from systems like Stripe, Twilio, Dialpad, Salesloft, and HubSpot. Your responsibilities include:
- Building and governing centralized fact and dimension layers that the entire company depends on, with quality guarantees and clear ownership
- Designing performant, scalable dbt/Snowflake data models that handle SaaS-scale datasets efficiently
- Deep expertise in Stripe data modeling: payments, subscriptions, revenue recognition, and financial flows
- Establishing and codifying standards for SQL optimization, query reusability, documentation, testing, monitoring, and code review
- Leading technical execution of complex BI and analytics projects in Hex from design through production
- Partnering with engineering, product, operations, and GTM teams to translate business needs into high-impact data solutions
You'll need 8+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering with recent depth in modeling for consumption. Required expertise includes SaaS business metrics (MRR, retention, churn, cohorts), advanced SQL with failure-mode awareness, extensive Snowflake and dbt experience, and deep knowledge of subscription billing and payments data. Bonus experience includes Python for ingestion, product analytics tools like Heap, RevOps/CX data stacks, and startup or high-growth SaaS background.
