Salary: USD 149,600 - 215,100 / annual
Jane App is seeking a Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the evolution of its business intelligence platform. Reporting to the Head of IT, Systems and Data, you'll own the core BI infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and self-service insights across the organization.
Key responsibilities include designing and operating scalable data platforms; owning data ingestion, integration, and architecture; building enterprise data models and semantic layers; establishing data quality, governance, and observability standards; monitoring platform health and resolving pipeline issues; certifying data products before business consumption; and mentoring junior analytics engineers through code reviews and best practices.
You'll work with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Support, Finance, Partnerships, and Product to transform billing, CRM, product, and support data into trusted business intelligence. The role emphasizes solving hard technical problems with company-wide impact and leveraging AI to improve analytics workflows.

Required qualifications: 6+ years in analytics engineering or similar technical data role, preferably in SaaS; expert SQL and data modeling; 6+ years hands-on dbt in production with git workflows and data quality testing; experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery; data observability platform implementation; AI tool proficiency for analytics workflows; semantic modeling and self-service analytics design.
