Salary: USD 75,000 - 85,000 / annual
VergeSense is the occupancy intelligence platform powering workplace optimization for over 220 companies across 50 countries. The Staff Accountant will support the Accounting and Finance department in all core accounting functions and reconciliations.
Key responsibilities include ownership of accounts payable, corporate credit cards, and employee expense reimbursements; daily accounting tasks such as recording cash receipts, processing disbursements, and vendor purchase orders; analysis of accounts receivable aging with bad debt recommendations; reconciliation of A/R, sales tax, bad debt, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and bank statements; review of customer contracts and revenue recognition setup in NetSuite; accounts receivable and collections support; inventory tracking and reconciliations; cash flow forecasting assistance; year-end audit and tax documentation support; and process improvements including AI tool implementation.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in accounting/finance functions with familiarity in SaaS/PaaS industry regulations and revenue recognition. Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, or Ramp is required; NetSuite experience is preferred. Strong Excel skills (lookups, sumifs, pivot tables), general accounting principles knowledge, and excellent communication are essential. The role requires ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment, with EST–MST time zones preferred. A bachelor's degree in accounting is required. This is a full-time, remote position with no supervisory responsibilities.
