StockX is seeking a Staff Accountant to support international accounting operations, with primary focus on India and Hong Kong entities. This is a hands-on role combining general ledger accounting, audit support, statutory compliance, and accounts payable responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
International GL Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned international entities
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly
- Assist with local statutory adjustments, statutory financial statements, regulatory and tax information
- Provide external audit support
- Maintain fixed assets subledgers including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Reconcile bank accounts and assist in cash flow forecasting
- Conduct month-end and quarter-end variance analysis, investigating material fluctuations
Accounts Payable:
- Process and review vendor invoices and employee expenses in Workday and Ramp
- Validate invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Resolve discrepancies with business stakeholders
- Monitor AP mailbox and respond to vendor and internal inquiries
- Support vendor onboarding with banking, tax, and documentation validation
- Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc settlement runs with the Global AP team
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting experience or studying towards relevant accounting qualification
- Strong understanding of IFRS concepts and balance sheet reconciliation
- Accounts Payable processing experience (invoice processing, PO matching, vendor maintenance, payment support)
- Working knowledge of Excel and ability to learn ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfort working across international time zones
Nice-to-have:
- US GAAP knowledge
- Experience in US-headquartered multinational organizations
- Startup or fast-paced e-commerce/retail/tech environment experience
- Prior ERP system experience
