Salary: USD 80,000 - 90,000 / annual

IEX is an exchange operator and technology company founded in 2012, dedicated to innovating in capital markets. The company operates a transparent securities exchange launched in 2016 and is expanding with a new Options Exchange opening in October 2026. The Staff Accountant will be a key individual contributor supporting the accounting team during a period of significant growth and operational expansion. This role encompasses four primary areas: Accounts Payable: Process and verify invoices within the Zip AP platform, analyze discrepancies, compile weekly payment runs, process employee expenses through Ramp, and coordinate with vendor management and the CFO on vendor population reviews. Responsibilities include sales and use tax reconciliation and maintenance within Avalara. Cash and Banking: Prepare and distribute weekly cash management reports, monitor daily bank and clearing firm balances, record daily cash activity in the general ledger, download BAI files, assist with intercompany settlement processes, prepare vendor payments, and support opening new accounts as needed. Accounts Receivable: Assist with preparing and distributing customer invoices across business lines, apply cash receipts against open invoices in NetSuite, monitor customer accounts for non-payment, perform collection procedures, and resolve billing discrepancies. Accounting Support: Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entry recording and close meeting scheduling. Evaluate and recommend process improvements, reconcile general ledger accounts, maintain accrual and prepaid accounts, and participate in external, internal, and regulatory audits. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, comfortable with rapid changes, demonstrates strong professionalism and interpersonal skills, and works effectively cross-functionally. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, one or more years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, COUNT, SUM). Experience with NetSuite, Concur, Zip, Ramp, and Avalara is a plus.
