Rula is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to lead research focused on the patient experience in mental healthcare. You'll own research initiatives that help the company understand and improve the journey from initial consideration of mental healthcare through booking and attending a first session with a provider.
In this highly autonomous role, you'll identify research questions worth answering, select appropriate methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods), lead studies end-to-end, and translate findings into actionable product recommendations. You'll work closely with Product, Design, Data & Analytics, and Marketing teams to ensure product decisions are grounded in rigorous research and deep patient insights.
Key responsibilities include: framing ambiguous product questions into clear research plans; conducting research across acquisition, onboarding, activation, and conversion funnels; synthesizing complex findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences; and influencing product prioritization and strategy without direct authority.
Required qualifications: 5+ years of UX research experience with demonstrated strength across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches; proven ability to independently build and lead research programs from problem framing through execution and decision influence; track record of translating research into measurable product impact; methodological rigor combined with speed and adaptability; strategic problem-framing skills; cross-functional influence capabilities; and strong communication abilities.
Preferred experience includes research in multi-sided marketplaces, across multiple product surfaces (mobile/web), longitudinal measurement programs, healthcare or mental health domains, and products where trust and confidence significantly influence user behavior.
