Observable Space combines precision opto-mechanical hardware, embedded compute, cloud orchestration, and developer APIs into scalable products with in-house manufacturing capabilities. As Senior Technical Recruiter, you will lead full-lifecycle recruiting efforts focused on Engineering talent acquisition during a critical growth phase. You'll partner closely with Engineering leaders and cross-functional hiring teams to develop and execute sourcing, assessment, and candidate closing strategies. Your responsibilities include building scalable recruiting processes, managing candidate and hiring manager expectations through data-driven ROI analysis, and maintaining a strong pipeline of passive candidates through proactive market research and relationship management. Key responsibilities: Partner with hiring teams on sourcing and closing approaches; attract and assess passive candidates for cultural and technical fit; conduct in-depth interviews with strong interview-to-offer ratios; recommend recruitment strategies and process improvements; screen and prepare ideal candidate slates on consistent timelines; participate in recruiting initiatives and best-practice assessments. Required qualifications: 5+ years full-cycle recruiting experience with Engineering focus; 2+ years business-facing responsibilities building sourcing and assessment approaches; 3+ years cross-functional recruiting experience with multiple stakeholders; 3+ years using recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM, ATS systems, web search). Preferred: Experience in rapidly growing technical (software + hardware) startups; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage competing deadlines. The role is hybrid, requiring minimum 3 days per week in the Los Angeles office.
