Fanatics is a leading global digital sports platform serving over 100 million sports fans worldwide. The company operates across three main pillars: Fanatics Commerce (licensed fan gear, jerseys, apparel), Fanatics Collectibles (physical and digital trading cards, memorabilia), and Fanatics Betting & Gaming (sportsbook and iGaming platform). With partnerships spanning 900+ sports properties, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 2,000+ retail locations, Fanatics is expanding aggressively into new international markets. As Senior Staff Technical Program Manager for International Expansion, you will own the end-to-end technical program for launching Fanatics Core into new markets globally. This is a strategic, high-impact role that bridges engineering, product, legal, compliance, finance, and operations to execute market entries that are on-time, compliant, and scalable. Key responsibilities include: • Own international launch programs from market assessment through go-live and stabilization, setting scope, milestones, dependencies and success criteria for each region. • Translate regulatory and compliance requirements (licensing, geolocation, data residency, GDPR, KYC/AML, responsible gaming, audit/reporting) into clear technical requirements in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams. • Design and build a repeatable, scalable expansion playbook with reusable architecture patterns, configuration-driven market setup, and standardized launch-readiness checklists to accelerate and reduce costs of future launches. • Manage technical delivery with external vendors and third-party partners (payment providers, identity verification, geolocation services, content feeds, regional hosting), holding them accountable to timelines, SLAs and compliance obligations. • Partner with Core Engineering to expand shared platform capabilities: multi-region infrastructure, multi-currency and multi-language support, regional payment methods, tax and reporting systems. • Establish and execute go-live criteria, cutover plans, hypercare protocols and post-launch reviews to ensure reliable launches that meet regulatory uptime and reporting requirements. • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization and externally; communicate clearly on status, risks, trade-offs and decisions across multiple concurrent market programs. • Define and track KPIs measuring expansion health: time-to-market, launch readiness, compliance findings, post-launch stability and operational metrics. • Mentor other technical program managers and strengthen program management, planning, delivery and governance practices across the organization. This role requires deep technical credibility, international market launch experience in regulated industries, and the ability to influence executives while managing complex cross-functional dependencies. Requirements: • 10+ years of technical program management experience, including leading large cross-functional programs at senior/staff level • 12+ years working directly with software engineering teams on complex, distributed systems • Proven track record launching products or platforms in multiple international markets, ideally in regulated industries (sports betting, iGaming, fintech, payments) • Experience translating regulatory and compliance requirements into technical delivery plans • Experience managing external vendors and third-party technical integrations • Strong technical grounding in cloud platforms, distributed/microservice architectures and enterprise software; ability to credibly challenge engineering designs and trade-offs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence executives and explain complex technical and regulatory issues to non-technical audiences • Experience running programs with Jira, Confluence and multiple SDLC methodologies • Willingness to travel internationally for market launches, partner meetings and team events Preferred Experience: • Background in sports betting, iGaming, fintech, payments or other highly regulated, high-availability industries • Familiarity with international gaming or financial regulators and licensing processes (UKGC, MGA, AGCO/iGaming Ontario, etc.) • Experience with data residency, multi-region deployment and privacy frameworks such as GDPR • Experience with regional payment methods, multi-currency, tax and localization at scale • Experience in organizations with multiple P&Ls and shared platform services • Experience running launch readiness, cutover and hypercare for high-traffic, customer-facing systems • Experience in scaled Agile environments • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and fast-moving markets • Working proficiency in a second language
