F5 is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive new business and revenue growth by helping customers identify products, solutions, and services that best meet their needs. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales support, involving the design and implementation of complex, integrated solutions for enterprise clients.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing technical strategies aligned with sales objectives, acting as a thought leader at industry conferences and webinars, leading the design of highly complex solutions for strategic clients, mentoring other solutions engineers on technical and strategic issues, and engaging with executive-level clients to understand long-term goals and align solutions accordingly.
You will support architectural designs and implementation strategies, provide technical guidance through proof-of-concepts (POCs), solution design, and architecture services. You'll collaborate with sales teams to assess potential applications of F5 products, create detailed design plans based on customer application journeys, and design solutions and product demonstrations to validate feasibility.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of pre-sales experience in IT industry with expertise in networking, application delivery, security, cloud, and SaaS technologies. You must be considered an internal subject matter expert, capable of conceptual thinking to understand advanced issues, and able to select and improve processes across F5's product portfolio.
Technical expertise required: expert-level understanding of Web Protocols and application architectures (HTTP/TLS/SSL), programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Golang), and Kubernetes concepts; advanced knowledge of networking, data center, virtualization, and cloud computing environments; expertise in solution designs for large-scale environments and vertical market solutions. Native-level or business-fluent English proficiency is highly preferred.
