Cohesity is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to support enterprise sales engagements and drive adoption of its AI-powered data security and management platform. This role partners closely with Account Executives to execute new customer opportunities and expansions by delivering tailored technical solutions across backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security management. You will own technical strategy for enterprise opportunities, supporting the full sales cycle from discovery and solution design through demos, proofs of concept, and competitive positioning. Key responsibilities include articulating Cohesity's Data Cloud portfolio to business and technical audiences, providing expert technical support throughout sales engagements, identifying customer requirements and risk areas, and leading technical workshops and evaluations. You'll enable customers to integrate Cohesity products into production environments and assist with post-sales technical support to ensure successful outcomes. The role emphasizes strong technical execution, cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Support teams, and growing ownership of account-level technical strategy with guidance from senior leadership. You'll relay customer feedback to inform product improvements and help shape competitive displacement conversations by understanding customer environments. Required qualifications include proven pre-sales Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting experience supporting infrastructure, data protection, security, or cloud platforms in enterprise environments. You need hands-on experience with backup, recovery, data protection, storage, or cyber resilience technologies across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud architectures, plus working knowledge of data security concepts including ransomware resilience, immutable storage, encryption, and access controls. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to translate technical architecture into clear customer value and business outcomes. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience is required. Industry certifications in cloud, data, or adjacent technologies are a plus. Travel as required.
