Harness, an AI Software Delivery Platform company valued at $5.5B and backed by Goldman Sachs, Menlo Ventures, and other leading investors, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to lead revenue accounting operations and ASC 606 compliance. In this role, you will own the end-to-end monthly revenue close process, including contract review, standalone selling price (SSP) analysis, multi-element arrangement accounting, and revenue recognition under ASC 606. You'll prepare and review revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses with clear audit trails, and partner with DealOps on contract review to assess revenue recognition implications before execution. You will maintain and enforce a strong internal controls environment over revenue by documenting SOX-ready policies, procedures, and control narratives. You'll lead coordination with external auditors for quarterly reviews and year-end audits, own PBC schedules, and provide audit support for all revenue-related requests. You'll also monitor and interpret new accounting guidance from FASB and SEC, assessing impact on revenue policies. Process optimization is a key focus: you'll identify and drive improvements to the revenue close process, reduce cycle time, eliminate manual work, and build scalable workflows. You'll own revenue system integrity, working with Business Systems to ensure contracts and revenue data flow accurately into the GL (NetSuite or equivalent). You'll build and maintain automated revenue schedules, reporting templates, and exception monitoring tools using Excel, Google Sheets, and AI tools like Claude. Cross-functionally, you'll prepare executive-ready revenue reporting packages and variance analyses, act as a trusted business partner to DealOps, Business Systems, FP&A, Legal, and Product, and mentor junior team members while setting clear standards for work quality and documentation. Required: 4-6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience with demonstrated ASC 606 ownership in SaaS/software environments; experience in both private and public companies (or public-ready/Big 4-audited settings); hands-on month-end close ownership and audit process experience; strong knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit coordination; advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable ERP/CRM systems; CPA license (active or inactive). You must be analytical, identify root causes, and translate complex technical accounting into business insights.
