VSCO is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of VSCO Economy, a new product initiative enabling photographers to build sustainable businesses through the platform. The role combines strategic vision with hands-on product development, focusing on monetization infrastructure, creator payouts, and economic opportunities for professional and aspiring photographers.
You will own the strategic direction and roadmap for VSCO Economy from the ground up, operating with founder-like ownership. Key responsibilities include: deeply understanding photographer workflows and economic needs; identifying and validating high-potential opportunities; leading discovery efforts to assess problem-solution fit and business viability; regularly engaging with users to gather insights; and building lightweight prototypes using AI-assisted tools to test hypotheses rapidly.
You'll work across complex problem spaces involving payment infrastructure (Stripe Connect, PayPal Payouts), KYC compliance, and payout reliability. This requires close collaboration with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Finance, Trust & Safety, and Legal teams. You'll communicate strategic direction clearly to executives and cross-functional partners, prioritize ruthlessly amid competing demands, and help shape new business lines for VSCO.
The ideal candidate brings 5-8 years of full-time product management experience, with proven success building for the creator economy and shipping 0-to-1 products that drove customer and business outcomes. You should have hands-on experience with payout infrastructure (not just checkout), infrastructure-heavy work beyond UI features, and understanding of KYC and compliance requirements. Strong systems thinking, product strategy expertise, exceptional communication skills, and comfort with ambiguity in fast-paced startup environments are essential. Bonus: deep knowledge of photography/creative tools, AI-native product practices, and founder-level accountability.
