Higharc is a VC-backed startup transforming residential home design and construction. The company has raised over $175M from top-tier venture capital and strategic investors in construction, building products, and distribution. You will own the vision, roadmap, and execution for Studio, Higharc's browser-based 2D and 3D design environment where architects and drafters author plans, options, and the building model. Studio is the foundational data layer that feeds downstream products including Estimate, Showroom, and construction document generation.
Key responsibilities include: owning the authoring workflow for 2D/3D editing across plan, elevation, and option management at scale; conducting discovery with drafters and internal teams to understand real workflows; partnering with Studio Engineering and Building Generation teams on the API surface between the building model and Studio's interaction/rendering systems; establishing and maintaining quality thresholds for interaction latency, geometric correctness, and undo integrity; owning key metrics including activation, time-to-first-plan, authoring throughput, plan reuse, and model correctness; and defining how Studio expands to serve estimating, purchasing, and sales personas without degrading the drafter experience.
You bring 5+ years of product management experience on modern software, with a track record shipping complex interactive applications—ideally authoring tools, editors, CAD/BIM products, or configurators. You have technical fluency: you read architecture, reason about data models, and make engineering tradeoffs directly. You can distinguish defects that erode tool trust from cosmetic issues. You prototype quickly using tools like Cursor, Replit, or v0.dev. You communicate clearly across engineering, design, and business, articulating hard tradeoffs and building consensus.
Ideal candidates have exposure to CAD/BIM systems (Revit, Rhino, SketchUp) or browser 3D tooling (Three.js, WebGL). A major plus: professional experience in residential construction, homebuilding, or architecture with fluency in plan sets, elevations, options, and builder variation management. Experience shipping AI-assisted capabilities in authoring tools is also valued.
Higharc is entirely remote since 2018, with regular in-person team meet-ups at US hubs.
