Baselayer is rebuilding the identity and verification layer for American business banking. The company has built the most complete business graph in America by fusing public records, IRS data, sanctions lists, web signals, and fraud telemetry from 2,200+ financial institutions, achieving 98% match rates in under two years—compared to legacy credit bureaus that took 50 years to reach 60%. Baselayer is trusted by over 20% of US financial institutions including FIS, Rho, and Socure, and is expanding beyond finance into gig platforms, marketplaces, AI companies, and commerce infrastructure.
As Baselayer's first dedicated Senior Product Manager, you will report directly to the GM of the Agentic Economy division and own the creation, design, and full scoping of new products that expand Baselayer beyond financial institutions into new verticals where business identity is currently broken. You will define what gets built, why it matters, and what success looks like—without inheriting an existing roadmap.
The role is hands-on and split between zero-to-one product definition and disciplined execution on existing products. You will write product specifications and wireframes, partner closely with design and engineering, attend engineering standups, and own the existing product surface by setting priorities, sequencing the roadmap, and making daily decisions that keep the team shipping the right features.
Key responsibilities include: leading the scoping of new products targeting verticals beyond finance from initial thesis through detailed PRD; translating market opportunities into product requirements including target users, core workflows, and success metrics; building alignment artifacts (PRDs, one-pagers, wireframes, decision logs); writing clear specifications that engineers can build from; producing wireframes and flow diagrams that force early decisions; and partnering with design to translate product vision into user experience.
The technical depth is substantial—the company is solving real-time entity resolution at scale through graph AI, retrieval optimization, and fraud modeling. You'll be working on foundational infrastructure that becomes load-bearing for businesses across multiple industries.
