TestGorilla is a skills-based talent discovery platform on a mission to place 1 billion people in their dream jobs. Founded in 2020 as a fully remote, AI-fluent company, TestGorilla is scaling rapidly across 35+ countries. As Senior People & Talent Operations Partner, you will own People Ops as a product—designing, building, and maintaining the systems, compliance frameworks, and self-serve workflows that enable the People & Culture function to operate efficiently at scale. You'll join a lean two-person team reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, with full ownership from day one. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and maintaining an automated, AI-enabled people journey from pre-boarding through off-boarding - Serving as technical owner of the HR tech stack: evaluating, enhancing, and ensuring integration across tools - Managing payroll, invoicing, contract administration, and compliance across all 35+ countries of operation - Owning data privacy, recordkeeping, and the relationship with the EOR vendor - Configuring and troubleshooting hiring tooling to enable hiring managers to run independent searches - Creating documentation that supports self-serve workflows for both employees and AI agents - Maintaining the balance between automation and human-centered People operations You'll bring a product mindset to everything you touch, stay empathic but boundaried, and thrive in a high-autonomy, async-first, remote-only environment. You'll be autonomous, opinionated, and candid—comfortable telling leadership when they've got it wrong. This is an HR role within an HRTech company, offering uncharted territory to shape and make your own. REQUIREMENTS: - Passion for TestGorilla's mission and excellent written/verbal English communication - Proven experience building and owning sophisticated automations (Zapier, n8n, Make.com, etc.) as a core part of an integrated HR tech stack—not just using AI tools day to day. This is described as arguably the most important requirement. - Experience managing payroll, compliance, or HR operations across multiple countries, ideally through an Employer of Record or a mix of EOR and direct entities - Deep, hands-on HRIS experience; HiBob experience is a plus, as is experience assessing or migrating HR systems - Product mindset: building for end users (employees and managers), listening to feedback, and iterating - Thriving in high-autonomy, async-first, remote-only environments with prior experience in such teams - Operational rigor combined with genuine empathy and interest in people; ability to handle sensitive matters - Opinionated and candid with excellent feedback and stakeholder management skills - Approximately five years of relevant experience (though impact and progression matter more than exact tenure) BONUS SKILLS: - Experience with ATS/hiring platforms (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever) - Experience with EOR providers (Remote, Deel, Oyster) - HRIS implementation or migration project experience - Experience supporting teams through organizational change
