Instructure seeks a Senior Executive Assistant to support the Chief Customer Officer, who leads a global Customer Experience organization of ~900 people spanning Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, Community, and Training.
This is a strategic role, not traditional support. You'll be the operational backbone enabling the CCO to focus on high-level decisions and relationships with the executive committee, board, investors, and major university and school district customers.
Key responsibilities include: managing the CCO's calendar with ruthless prioritization and protection of deep-work time; booking and coordinating all domestic and international travel, including customer visits and board meetings; handling logistics, ground transportation, and meals proactively; processing expenses accurately; managing confidential information with discretion; and partnering with direct reports and VPs to anticipate needs.
You'll own the operating rhythm of the entire CX organization: staff meetings, leadership reviews, quarterly business reviews, and all-hands. This means building agendas that drive clarity and decisions, capturing action items and chasing them to completion, preparing briefing docs for customer and executive meetings, managing executive materials (board decks, memos, updates), tracking quarterly priorities, and coordinating cross-functional work with Sales, Marketing, Finance, People, and Product.
On the human side, you'll plan recognition moments, offsites, and team events; source thoughtful gifts; support customer executive engagement (dinners, campus visits, conference hospitality); and serve as a welcoming front door to the CCO for the entire company.
Required: 5+ years supporting C-suite or senior executives in fast-paced tech/SaaS; reputation for trustworthiness and discretion; strong calendar management and prioritization discipline; excellent written communication; cross-functional relationship building; high organization and adaptability; business curiosity; comfort with data and dashboards; sound judgment; low ego and high standards; proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and expense tools (Brex, Coupa); working fluency with AI tools or eagerness to develop it.
Nice-to-have: private equity or venture-backed company experience; customer-facing or revenue organization support; project management experience; familiarity with education or mission-driven industries.
The role has clear growth trajectory. You'll start with calendar, travel, and operating cadence to build context and trust, then shift toward owning projects end-to-end, preparing executive committee analysis and materials, and representing the CCO in key meetings. Instructure invests in long-term career development for world-class executive assistants and those interested in broader operating and strategy work.
