Snowflake is seeking a Senior Engagement Manager for Frontier Engineering, based remotely in New Zealand. This is a founding role—you will be Snowflake's first Frontier Engineering Engagement Manager in the New Zealand market, serving as the in-market leader and single point of accountability for engagement outcomes across both Data Transformation and Agentic Transformation initiatives. You will own the complete engagement lifecycle: from initial customer conversations and opportunity qualification through scoping, contracting, delivery, and account expansion. Working hand-in-hand with New Zealand account teams, Australia-based Services Solution Managers, and Sales Solution Architects, you will bring local customer intimacy, deal shaping expertise, and delivery leadership to turn customer business problems into production outcomes and Snowflake consumption. Key responsibilities include: **Sell & Shape:** Lead in-market pursuit efforts as the local Frontier Engineering point of contact for account executives. Conduct discovery and value-shaping workshops with customers to align on use-case priorities and measurable outcomes (revenue growth, cost reduction, risk reduction). Partner with Services Solution Managers and Sales Solution Architects on commercial strategy, value-based pricing, proposals, and SOWs. Maintain accurate bookings forecasts and pipelines. Identify account expansion opportunities and build multi-phase transformation roadmaps. Collaborate with SI, GSI, and ISV partners on co-delivery and co-sell approaches. **Deliver:** Own the sales-to-delivery handoff and lead engagements through go-live and close-out. Manage Work Breakdown Structures, RAID logs, and critical-path scheduling across multi-workstream technical implementations. Identify and negotiate scope creep through protective Change Orders. Own engagement financials including revenue forecasting, budget burn-down, cost control, and Estimate at Completion accuracy. Serve as the escalation point for customers, partners, and project teams. Drive knowledge transfer, retrospectives, and value readouts; secure customer references and identify next opportunities. **Advise & Improve:** Engage C-level and VP stakeholders on services roadmaps and business outcomes. Translate field-level technical blockers into actionable feedback for Snowflake Product and Engineering teams. Contribute delivery learnings to scoping and estimation processes, and help develop Frontier Engineering reusable assets and playbooks. Leverage AI-assisted workflows (e.g., Snowflake Cortex) to work faster and smarter. Maintain accurate Salesforce and financial system data. You will work across both Data Transformation (migration, modernization, governance) and Agentic Transformation (agents, AI applications, intelligent workflows), bringing capabilities like Cortex, Horizon, Iceberg, and Openflow into production. A clear pathway to Principal level exists for those who demonstrate portfolio ownership, deal engineering, and market leadership. **Requirements:** - Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or equivalent experience - 10+ years in Sales and Services Delivery roles interfacing with executives on complex technical implementation projects such as cloud data warehouse, data platform implementation, modernization, or AI/ML adoption - Proven achievement of quantitative targets (bookings, utilization, consumption, delivery margin) - Demonstrated experience leading discovery, shaping scope and value propositions, and closing services deals as part of a sales team - Hands-on mastery of project governance (WBS, RAID, critical path), change management, and project financials (EAC) - Executive presence and ability to command C-suite rooms while maintaining technical credibility in deep technical discussions - Direct experience across data platform modernization (data warehousing, migration, BI, cloud data platforms) and AI/ML or GenAI adoption - Proven ability to work as one team with sales, pre-sales, and delivery colleagues across locations without co-location - Comfort switching between sales support, project governance, and hands-on crisis management while managing multiple accounts and projects in parallel with high autonomy **Bonus qualifications:** - Established network across New Zealand enterprise, government, or local SI and partner community - Big 5 or boutique strategy consulting experience - Experience in a technical advisory role (solution architect, technical account manager) - Hands-on project experience with Snowflake AI Data Cloud or other cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience building a services practice or team presence in a new market
