Zscaler is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Exposure Management & Security Operations department, reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering. This hybrid role focuses on owning and evolving cloud infrastructure, reliability, and deployment ecosystems across multiple SaaS cybersecurity products within the SecOps product group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and improving cloud infrastructure for scalable, reliable SaaS cybersecurity products
- Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt
- Managing production AWS EKS clusters, Kubernetes workloads, and cloud services
- Developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitLab
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, automation, developer productivity, and incident readiness
You will drive major impact on production maturity, scalability, developer productivity, and product integration as the organization continues to grow.
Required qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or SRE in production environments with deep AWS expertise
- Comprehensive experience managing production Kubernetes workloads, specifically AWS EKS, Docker containerization, and Helm charts
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt, combined with CI/CD automation via GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
- Practical knowledge of GitOps methodologies with ArgoCD and observability tools (Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Alertmanager)
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools with proven history of integrating new technologies
Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Devin), B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent, and experience with AWS AI/data services, cost optimization, or advanced SRE practices.
