Rula is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to serve as the analytical engine supporting its Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) product and operations. This is an individual contributor role working closely with Product, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Billing, Data, and Customer Experience teams.
You will partner with Product to improve the EHR platform through analysis of metrics, trends, and experimentation. You'll investigate billing workflows to identify breakdowns, reduce friction, and support sustainable growth. The role requires translating complex, messy data into clear, actionable insights that drive reliable experiences for patients, therapists, and insurance companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting A/B testing including experiment design, deployment, and results interpretation
- Analyzing financial metrics (CAC, billing, retention, churn, LTV) and operational metrics (resolution time, uptime)
- Building predictive models and data visualizations to inform cross-functional decisions
- Investigating complex account questions and uncovering root causes
- Connecting analytics insights to business strategy and profitable growth
Required: 7+ years in analytics/data science with 2+ years in financial analytics or firm-level operations analysis. Expert-level Python and/or SQL, hands-on data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Hex), strong A/B testing experience, and demonstrated ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred: Fast-paced startup experience, operational efficiency experimentation, healthcare/marketplace/financial services background, ability to influence financial and operational decisions.
