Lyra Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in forecasting to join their analytics team. The role focuses on building predictive models and forecasting systems that support Lyra's mission to deliver evidence-based mental health care at scale. You will work with large datasets spanning clinical outcomes, utilization patterns, and healthcare economics to develop forecasting models that inform business strategy, resource allocation, and clinical decision-making.
Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining forecasting models for key business metrics (utilization, costs, clinical outcomes); collaborating with product, clinical, and operations teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions; designing experiments and analyses to validate model performance; building data pipelines and infrastructure to support forecasting workflows; and communicating insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
You will leverage Lyra's rich dataset of 20+ million people served, 15+ million mental health sessions delivered, and extensive peer-reviewed research demonstrating clinical effectiveness and cost savings. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data science with demonstrated expertise in time-series forecasting, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics. Strong programming skills (Python, SQL), familiarity with ML frameworks, and experience working in healthcare or regulated industries is valued. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, able to drive projects independently, and passionate about using data to improve mental health outcomes.
