Moody's is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to serve as the Global Tax lead and single point of accountability for global tax technology. This role is part of the SAP Center of Excellence team within Moody's Shared Services organization, responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving SAP Finance applications and global tax technology across the enterprise.
You will facilitate the implementation, support, and hands-on configuration of Vertex O Series integration with SAP S/4 HANA, including tax procedures, condition tables, tax codes, jurisdiction codes, and reporting structures. Key responsibilities include designing and supporting tax integration across end-to-end business cycles (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, intercompany, credit processing, and General Ledger postings), supporting global indirect tax requirements (US Sales and Use Tax, EU VAT, APAC GST, regional statutory and compliance models, direct and withholding tax integration), and configuring SAP Integration Component tax mappings.
You will own reconciliation and audit readiness by reconciling Vertex tax results to the SAP General Ledger, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining complete audit trails. Additional responsibilities include upholding SOX and change-governance controls, training and mentoring Tax Super Users and Business Process Owners, and driving automation and AI-enabled tax capabilities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. You will participate in Vertex Accelerator and Vertex O Series upgrades, including impact assessment, configuration validation, regression testing, deployment coordination, and post-production support.
The role partners closely with Tax, Finance, IT, and external advisors to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable, well-controlled system solutions that power Moody's global operations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how tax technology functions at a global scale, contributing to initiatives spanning multiple regions, business cycles, and compliance frameworks.
