Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator serving 4+ million customers with $155B+ in assets under administration, is seeking a Senior Analytics Developer to join the Finance, Brokerage & Market Risk Data Science team. This role focuses on building and scaling advanced analytics infrastructure that drives financial decision-making and risk management across the organization.
You will own the development and maintenance of finance and market risk data marts, designing robust data pipelines that generate critical financial reports and metrics. Key responsibilities include building and automating brokerage reporting and monitoring systems, partnering with business stakeholders to launch new financial products, creating dashboards for KPI monitoring and regulatory reporting, and providing business intelligence support for trade monitoring, financial reporting, and forecasting.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of data engineering or analytics development experience with demonstrated expertise in data mart architecture. Required skills include advanced SQL proficiency, hands-on experience with modern data pipeline tools (dbt, Airflow), cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, Redshift, Snowflake), Python for data manipulation, and strong data visualization capabilities (Tableau, Looker, Power BI). Experience in brokerage operations, financial services, accounting principles, and regulatory reporting is highly valued.
