This emerging specialist sales role reports to a Product Specialist - Sales Director and focuses on Samsara's Connected Maintenance product for public sector (SLED) customers. You will be part of a team of specialist sellers aligned by segment and product, incentivized on growth targets across a single AVP organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Co-develop emerging product pipelines with account executives across major public sector accounts
- Drive pilot strategy and success metrics for early adoption of new products
- Own executive-level discovery and storytelling for emerging SKUs
- Partner cross-functionally with GTM and Product teams to feed back customer insights and shape roadmap
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships within strategic, named accounts
- Drive Connected Maintenance sales cycles end-to-end, from prospecting through close
- Demonstrate solution-based sales expertise in complex sales campaigns
- Build frameworks, assets, and insights that scale across the broader sales organization
- Champion Samsara's cultural principles (customer success focus, long-term thinking, growth mindset, inclusivity, team orientation)
You should have 5+ years in complex, full-cycle enterprise solution sales with a proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement in complex accounts and $500k+ ARR transactions. Experience working with line-of-business stakeholders in SLED/Government entities is required. You must be comfortable with strategic outbound prospecting, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Ideal candidates bring overlay or new product launch experience, have worked with Product and Marketing to influence GTM strategy, can operate in strategic partnership with senior AEs, and are comfortable presenting to and influencing C-suite executives.
