Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology, AI, autonomy, and computer vision. The Special Projects team within Finance leads Anduril's financing strategy, complex strategic transactions, and cross-functional initiatives that span multiple organizations.
In this role, you will own a mix of live transactions and high-priority projects from initial analysis through execution. You will build financial models for Anduril's financings and major investment decisions, drive analytical workstreams on live transactions, and build operating models that connect business fundamentals to financial outcomes. You will work directly with supply chain, manufacturing, contracts, and program teams to gather data and reconcile inputs into defensible numbers. The role combines the financial rigor of investing with close proximity to the business—you will form views, work with teams closest to problems, and turn decisions into action.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning financial models behind financings, strategic transactions, and major investment decisions end-to-end, including sizing, structural alternatives, and downside scenarios
- Driving analytical workstreams on live transactions from framing through close, pressure-testing terms and building diligence materials
- Building operating models that connect factory ramps, program costs, and business exposure to financial outcomes for external counterparties
- Building durable frameworks for capital allocation across new facilities, capacity expansion, vertical integration, and non-routine commitments
- Gathering data directly from corporate systems and cross-functional teams, reconciling messy inputs into defensible numbers
- Owning ambiguous initiatives with no natural owner—framing problems, building analysis, landing recommendations, and driving implementation
- Presenting directly to senior leadership and working across functions (Legal, Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing) to navigate competing priorities and drive decisions
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of experience, including time at a top-tier investment bank and at a buyout private equity firm, ideally with LevFin/Restructuring experience and industrials coverage
- Exceptional financial modeling ability; can build detailed, structurally sound models from the ground up and know when quick analysis suffices
- Strong command of debt financing structures, capital structure, and credit; understand how financing decisions affect operating decisions
- Real business judgment and operational tilt; can identify what drives program economics and critical assumptions from messy, incomplete information
- First-principles thinker with strong institutional grounding; know the standard playbook well enough to know when to use it and when to deviate
- Extremely high agency; comfortable with hard problems, self-directed, and able to sprint when needed
- Comfortable presenting to large, extremely senior audiences and company leadership
- Demonstrated interest in industrial and defense technology
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct operating experience inside a company, ideally in a high-growth environment; candidates combining investment banking, buyout private equity, and operating experience are particularly compelling
- Direct project finance, structured finance, or dedicated financing transaction experience
- Deep exposure to industrials, aerospace and defense, or manufacturing businesses through coverage, deal work, or portfolio company experience
- Former founder or early-stage operator
- Undergraduate degree in STEM, engineering, or quantitative major
