BlaBlaCar, the world's leading community-based travel app with 27 million members annually across 21 countries, is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support, evolve, and operate its global C&B programs. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, blending 60% operational delivery with 40% strategic projects.
You will serve as the C&B specialist within the People team, reporting directly to the Head of Talent, Culture & Performance. You will partner closely with the DRH (Director of Human Resources), the Remuneration Committee, People Operations, and local HR teams across BlaBlaCar's international footprint (France, Brazil, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, and beyond) to ensure compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and compliant—particularly in preparation for the EU Pay Transparency Directive (effective 2027).
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, and managing the Compensation & Benefits strategy across BlaBlaCar's global operations
- Updating and maintaining the company's salary grid and grading system (L1–L7) by job function, grounded in external surveys and benchmarks (AON Radford, Ravio)
- Reviewing and enhancing variable compensation programs, leave policies, and benefits across all geographies
- Participating in budget creation and monitoring consumption
- Leading the annual End-of-Year compensation review process globally
- Preparing meetings, minutes, presentations, and data for the Remuneration Committee
- Supporting administration of all equity programs (O-shares, M-shares, AGA, BSPCE): contributing to pool design, grant calibration, applying vesting rules, and reconciling transaction ledgers
- Configuring and operating the Workday Advanced Compensation module: salary ranges, cycle setup, reporting, and dashboards
- Contributing to pay transparency readiness: conducting pay equity analyses and supporting compliance mapping and remediation roadmaps
- Overseeing employee savings programs (PEE/PERCO, intéressement) and the international C&B policy roadmap
BlaBlaCar has 800 employees across 5 global offices, with 30% working fully remotely and over 50 nationalities represented.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Compensation & Benefits in an international environment
- Strong expertise in job architecture, salary range design, and market benchmarking (AON Radford, Mercer, Ravio, or equivalent)
- Experience with EU Pay Transparency Directive readiness or pay equity analysis
- Experience supporting equity programs (AGA, BSPCE, RSU, or equivalent), including grant cycle administration
- Solid command of French C&B regulatory frameworks: AGA/BSPCE, intéressement, PEE/PERCO, working time compliance
- Advanced analytical skills; comfortable managing large datasets; Workday Advanced Compensation experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a tech scale-up or company with multi-site, multi-country, and/or multi-collective agreement C&B scope
- Rigorous and comfortable preparing materials and contributing to discussions with senior stakeholders (RemCo, DRH, ExCo)
- Full professional proficiency in English and French
Nice to have: Familiarity with Workday-to-benchmark API integrations, HRIS automation projects, Ravio, Pigment, or similar compensation intelligence tools.
