Canva is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Sydney. This is a hybrid role based at Canva's flagship Sydney campus in Surry Hills, with flexibility to work remotely and collaborate in-person as needed.
In this role, you will partner with senior business leaders to shape Canva's strategic direction and financial performance. You will leverage data, financial insights, and business context to inform strategic planning and execution. Your responsibilities include delivering insights that help leaders understand and influence growth drivers within their groups, driving alignment from company strategy through to team KPIs, and synthesizing information across the business to articulate Canva's cost structure and investment thesis.

This includes developing driver-based forecasts aligned with execution, translating between business strategy and financial modeling, building reporting processes that provide timely insights to leadership, establishing business case rigor for capital allocation, and identifying risks and opportunities proactively.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader FP&A and Finance team to drive financial excellence. This involves building and implementing robust financial close and planning cycles with appropriate business buy-in, promoting sound risk management and adherence to controls, and mentoring the next generation of finance leaders within the team.
Canva describes FP&A as a force multiplier that accelerates the company's journey toward becoming one of the world's most valuable companies while doing the most good possible. The team works closely with business leaders across the entire organization, bringing financial expertise to strategic decision-making, driving top-line growth, plotting execution paths, ensuring financial rigor, and increasing operational efficiency.
