ICEYE is seeking a Spacecraft Analysis Team Lead to manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on designing, developing, and verifying cutting-edge SAR (synthetic aperture radar) spacecraft systems. This is a permanent, in-office role based in Espoo, Finland, reporting to the SCA Team Leader. Key responsibilities include leading a team of 3–8 R&D engineers; analyzing, modeling, and optimizing integrated SAR satellite system performance both on the ground and in orbit; supporting launch, early operations, and commissioning activities; performing mission analysis and developing flying rules; and enhancing reliability and performance for on-orbit operations. You will also support customers and program management with mission analysis, system documentation, and on-orbit validation and verification. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field; proven experience leading a team of 3–8 engineers; hands-on experience with satellite systems, RF systems, or remote sensing from concept to operation; and strong understanding of spacecraft systems and subsystems (power, thermal, avionics, propulsion). You should be proficient in systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification methodologies, and tools such as Python and STK. Understanding SAR principles is a plus.
