Salary: USD 127,400 - 191,200 / annual
F5 is seeking a Solutions Engineer III to support the sales organization in North America, focusing on Service Provider customers. This is a hybrid sales and technical role where you will be the trusted technical adviser to customers, helping them understand and solve their technical and business challenges through F5's application services solutions.
You will articulate F5's product strategy and value proposition, deliver technical expertise through presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (in-person and virtual). You'll mentor sales teams on F5 solutions and business drivers, identify technical decision makers, secure their validation and sponsorship, and drive the sales process in partnership with Account Managers. You'll work across the customer lifecycle, collaborating with internal technical and sales resources to share best practices and expertise.
F5 offers a suite of technologies for developing and delivering modern applications, bridging NetOps and DevOps with multi-cloud application services spanning from code to customer. The role requires deep technical knowledge of load balancing, application acceleration, request routing, web serving, caching, SSL/compression, and related technologies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience
- Experience with traffic management and load-balancing technologies (F5, Citrix, Riverbed, Kemp, or similar)
- Knowledge of HTTP, web servers, web applications, and associated protocols (TCP/IP, WebSocket, SPDY/HTTP2, SSL, SMTP, POP, DNS)
- Skills in Linux/UNIX-based systems and networking technologies
- Experience with Internet security products and services
- Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Microservices architecture, systems, and tools experience (Kubernetes, Docker)
- API development and/or management experience
- DevOps environment experience (tools, processes, culture)
- Experience working with enterprise customers in financial services space
