Instructure is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to guide prospective customers through their Canvas LMS, Canvas Career, and broader Instructure Learning Platform evaluation process. You will work directly with regional sales representatives and account executives to architect and sell the best possible solution for corporate and government buyers.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the primary technical knowledge resource for the sales team, actively driving and managing the functional and technical evaluation stages of the sales process. You will serve as a key technical advisor and product advocate, thoughtfully considering alternatives to arrive at the best recommendations for each customer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Present the Instructure Platform to diverse corporate and government stakeholders
- Discover and analyze customer goals and challenges, mapping them to appropriate solutions (Canvas LMS, Canvas Career, Canvas Studio, Canvas Catalog, Parchment Digital Badges, Impact by Instructure)
- Develop and deliver tailored, engaging product demonstrations
- Lead in-depth technical discussions with IT experts and decision-makers
- Identify or develop solutions for unique technical or functional requirements
- Understand and document customer requirements to support successful evaluation and implementation
- Assist proposal writers with functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Promote instructional technology methods to transform teaching and learning
You will need to communicate complex education and technology concepts effectively to various stakeholders. The role requires up to 50-60% travel and access to a nearby airport.
Requirements:
- Applied understanding of teaching, instructional design, and professional learning administration in corporate and/or government settings
- Knowledge of credentialing and certification program applications and processes in professional learning
- Technical understanding of education technology, SaaS, systems integration (LTI, APIs), business intelligence, HRISs, CRMs, CMSs, SCORM, and digital publishing tools
- Knowledge of ETL, APIs, and database design to support professional/government opportunities
- Articulate and compelling presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills in speech and writing, tailored for corporate and government audiences
- RFX knowledge
- Self-motivated, self-reliant, and collaborative
- Organized and analytical with creative problem-solving abilities
- Adult learning, professional learning, and compliance training experience is a plus
