Vapi is a voice AI platform that resolves customer issues rather than transferring them, powering over 1 billion calls for enterprise customers including Amazon Ring, Intuit, ServiceTitan, and New York Life. The company has raised $72M from top-tier investors including Peak XV, Bessemer, Kleiner Perkins, and Y Combinator, and serves 1 million developers building voice agents.
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between enterprise customers, the sales team, and product. Your role is to guide prospects from initial interest through successful pilots to production deployment. Vapi's API offers 4,200 configuration points, enabling complex customer experience use cases that require hands-on technical expertise to bring to life.
In your first 30 days, you'll ramp on Vapi's architecture, build your own voice agents end-to-end, and learn how customers leverage the APIs. By day 60, you'll lead technical discovery sessions, scope integrations with telephony, CRM, and backend systems, and prototype voice agent solutions alongside Account Executives. By day 90, you'll own the technical side of strategic enterprise sales cycles and pilots end-to-end, from initial demo through security review and production handoff.
Ongoing responsibilities include building reusable demos, reference architectures, and documentation. You'll also serve as a critical feedback loop, bringing customer insights back to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap.
Vapi's culture emphasizes ownership (70% of the company are previous founders), impact (building the human interface for every business), and team cohesion with quarterly off-sites and flexible work arrangements.
