New Relic is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join its Tokyo office and help deliver observability solutions to customers and partners. This is a pre-sales and technical consulting role that bridges sales, customer success, and product teams.
In this position, you will work alongside New Relic's sales, Technical Account Managers, Technical Support Engineers, and marketing teams to help customers effectively adopt and maximize the value of New Relic's SaaS platform. You will provide technical consulting to partners, create compelling customer presentations and proof-of-concept demonstrations, and support the full sales cycle by understanding customer IT infrastructure, software architecture, and business needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver New Relic consulting knowledge to help customers understand solution value
- Provide technical consulting and enablement to partners to expand New Relic adoption and grow collaborative business
- Create customer presentations that clearly articulate New Relic's value and build persuasive POC demos
- Contribute to thought leadership through event speaking, technical content creation, and training
- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, and Technical Account Managers on deal opportunities
- Uphold company core values: accountability, boldness, authenticity, passion, and consistency
New Relic has a track record of successfully transitioning strong engineers into Solutions Consultant roles, so technical background is valued over extensive sales experience. Comprehensive onboarding training is provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (Pre-sales Engineer, Technical Consultant/Architect, Systems Administrator, or Software Developer)
- Genuine interest in staying current with emerging technologies and hands-on learning
- Knowledge or experience with application/infrastructure operations, monitoring, and system design
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- English proficiency sufficient for written communication with international team members (Slack, email)
BONUS:
- Practical experience with programming languages (Java, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Node.js, Python)
