Mechademy is transforming predictive analytics for rotating machinery with Turbomechanica, a physics-informed ML platform that detects equipment issues before they become costly failures. The company serves power plants, LNG terminals, refineries, and pipeline operators across the oil and gas industry.
As a Solutions Consultant, you will be the technical bridge between enterprise customers and Mechademy's platform. You'll work directly with operators and reliability engineers to translate their operational challenges—surge margin, polytropic efficiency, vibration signatures, unplanned trips—into technical solutions using Turbomechanica. Your responsibilities span the full deployment lifecycle: scoping and leading implementations from concept through production, designing tailored prototypes and proof-of-concept work, and delivering demos customized to each customer's equipment and operating conditions.
You'll act as the voice of the customer internally, feeding field feedback and operational insights back to Product and Engineering teams. Close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering is essential to closing and expanding accounts. You'll build fluency in physics-informed modeling, anomaly detection, and diagnostics workflows for turbines, compressors, pumps, and engines. You may also support integrations with historians, CMMS/ERP systems, and other plant infrastructure.
Mechademy emphasizes a collaborative, innovative culture with flexible work hours, significant ownership and visibility from day one, and exposure to real industrial systems rather than synthetic benchmarks. The company is remote-first but prefers Houston proximity for Gulf Coast customer access.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, rotating equipment, mechanical engineering, or petroleum engineering, with background in turbomachinery, process/plant engineering, or comparable customer-facing technical role
- Strong grounding in rotating equipment fundamentals (compressors, turbines, pumps) and the operating problems operators face
- Experience working directly with customers, operators, or external stakeholders
- Working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar (production-level coding experience is a plus, not required)
- Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Interest in applied ML and physics-informed modeling for industrial systems
