GitLab is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor for prospects and customers evaluating GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You will help organizations understand how GitLab supports their technical requirements and business goals across the software development lifecycle, with a focus on successful platform adoption, strong technical evaluations, and building relationships that demonstrate value in an AI-driven DevSecOps landscape.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of customer outcomes, modern software delivery, cloud, security, and emerging agentic AI workflows. Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect leader, you'll collaborate closely with Account Executives and cross-functional partners across APJ in an all-remote environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape technical account strategies that increase qualified pipeline and support expansion opportunities
- Run technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and validation activities to define success criteria and accelerate technical validation
- Own technical evaluations as the primary point of contact, including proofs of concept, proofs of value, solution design, and workshop delivery
- Develop solution architectures that align GitLab capabilities with customer environments, priorities, and operating models
- Guide customers on modern software development practices including CI/CD, security, and cloud adoption
- Build strong relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders to strengthen alignment and support transformation efforts
- Create reusable technical examples, best practices, and collateral to improve team effectiveness
- Provide customer feedback, field insights, and market observations to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to influence roadmap priorities
You'll work in a distributed team environment that relies on clear communication, sound judgment, and common practices. The role emphasizes combining technical depth, strong customer relationships, and operational discipline to support GitLab's continued growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar customer-facing roles
- Ability to run technical evaluations such as proofs of concept, proofs of value, workshops, tenders, audits, or value stream assessments
- Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment workflows
- Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar DevSecOps or software delivery platforms
- Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt technical messages for practitioners, technical stakeholders, and senior business stakeholders
- Strength in building credibility, listening carefully, and representing customer needs to internal teams
- Interest in continuous learning, knowledge exchange, and developing expertise in GitLab, AI, and related cloud technologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, self-managed environments, or transferable experience from related technical fields is welcomed
