Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with headquarters in New York and Tel Aviv. The CTO Office is Vega's elite technical task force, serving as the escalation point for the company's most strategic and complex challenges. This team operates across the full width of the organization—from named technical representation on critical customer deals to building infrastructure that enables Fortune 50-scale deployments, to driving the feedback loop that informs R&D priorities. In this role, you will: - Serve as the named CTO Office representative and technical expert for the most strategic customer accounts, owning accountability for deployment success and ensuring product feedback from the field reaches R&D. - Take ownership of the hardest technical problems without waiting for escalation—when something blocks a deal or customer, you own the solution. - Directly influence the product roadmap by carrying field signal into R&D with strong, evidence-based opinions on priorities. - Build infrastructure and solutions that don't yet exist but are critical to Vega's growth and customer success. - Produce technical content including whitepapers, blogs, and technical writeups that define how the market understands Vega's platform. - Travel regularly between Tel Aviv, US customer sites, and industry events. You are a builder first—someone who ships artifacts, not just analysis. You close loops end-to-end, leaving systems better than you found them. You're customer-obsessed and run toward hard problems rather than away from them. You're opinionated and direct, comfortable operating under ambiguity while producing clarity for others. You have a hacker mentality: you debug by instinct, navigate underdocumented systems, and find paths through complexity. You're technically deep across multiple domains (data pipelines, detection rules, query engines, cloud architecture) while able to explain any of them to executives. You move without waiting to be told and don't need a clean scope to start.
